Six years is a long time to wait, but Phoebe Bridgers doesn’t seem interested in doing anything the easy way. Punisher made her a genre-defining voice back in 2020, peaking at No. 43 on the Billboard 200 and eventually leading to three Grammys with boygenius for 2023’s the record. Since then: mostly silence, aside from a run of secret pop-up shows across the US that culminated in a phone-free set at Madison Square Garden, where she quietly previewed a batch of unreleased songs. Now we know why.
Lost Weekend is Bridgers’ third studio album and her first in six years, arriving August 14th. The lead single, “Lost Boys,” dropped June 26th and gives the clearest hint yet of where she’s headed — still intimate, still devastating, but with more room to breathe than Punisher always allowed itself.
The pressing we’re most excited about is the Rogue Planet indie exclusive: a green glow-in-the-dark splatter 2xLP, housed in a double-pocket gatefold jacket with a 20-page full-color lyric booklet. It photographs beautifully in daylight and looks even better under a blacklight — genuinely one of the more inventive colorways we’ve carried this year.
Given how Punisher is still one of the most talked-about records of its era, and how tightly Bridgers has kept a lid on new music since, we expect this pressing to move fast. It’s priced at $39.99, and indie exclusive colorways like this one have a way of selling through quickly once word gets out.
