It’s a more intense, more direct record than anything she’s put out before, and honestly, that’s exactly what we hoped for after hearing where she was headed.

Pylon brings in some serious collaborators: Hayley Williams, Turnstile’s Brendan Yates, Chino Moreno of Deftones, and Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall all had a hand in shaping this thing. That’s a lineup that tells you a lot about where Beabadoobee’s head is at right now, and it makes sense of why the record hits with so much more weight than her earlier bedroom-pop leanings.
